Walk the Talk

Unfortunately due to the recent lock down in Western Australia, and considering the health and safety of you, our loyal Conquer Cystic Fibrosis supporters, we have decided to change the date of the inaugural Walk the Talk walk for Conquer Cystic Fibrosis.

We feel that it is important that we keep our supporters safe, and importantly give you the confidence to join in and mingle amongst other people on the day.  While the event is a COVID 19 safe with every precaution being put in place, we feel that changing the date of the event is important given these unprecedented times.

The Walk the Talk walk for Conquer Cystic Fibrosis has been rescheduled to take place on Sunday 7 March 2021.

We look forward to your continued support and seeing you all at the walk on 7 March 2021.

If you cannot attend our event in person but would like to support our cause you can also sign up as a “virtual” walker.  More details about our virtual walkers can be found at Try booking

So please join us on Sunday, 7 March 2021, to take part in our inaugural walk to raise awareness of organ donation and money to fund Cystic Fibrosis related transplant research and equipment.

Where: Burswood Park Perth 8.00am (Registrations from 7:30am)

Cost Adults $50.00 per person

Children $20.00 per person

To register and purchase your tickets please click here

All walkers must register to walk through our TryBooking page to take part in the event.  In addition to registering, you may want to make a donation or create a crowdraiser.  You can create your own individual fundraising page with photos and your own little spiel about why you are doing the walk to encourage all your family and friends to get behind you and make a donation to Conquer Cystic Fibrosis.  All walkers registering a crowdraiser are requested to use the “Walk the Talk” title as their page title with their name. (e.g. Rita’s Walk the Talk for CCF).

All money raised will fund vital transplant-related research and equipment.

As a 100% volunteer run charity every dollar raised will support us to achieve our goal to Conquer Cystic Fibrosis!

This event has been inspired by our beautiful Conquer Cystic Fibrosis advocate Jackie Fraser.  Jackie received new lungs in November 2020.  So many tears of relief have been shed for Jackie and we can’t wait to see what she does next!  Thank you so much Jackie for advocating for Conquer Cystic Fibrosis and organ donation so tirelessly.

This is COVID-19 safe event

2020 Grand Ball Appeal

On Saturday 20 June 2020 the Crown Perth Grand Ballroom would have been filled with a sell-out crowd of 700+ guests for the 17th annual Capel Vale Conquer Cystic Fibrosis Grand Ball.

The cancellation of the 2020 Grand Ball has been a huge blow for our volunteer-run charity which funds vital Cystic Fibrosis research projects.

Today we are appealing to those who had planned to attend our Grand Ball to donate!  This could be a portion of the $220 ticket price or what you may have spent attending the event.

We know that times are tough for many at the moment but we need your support to keep the funds flowing to the researchers.

We have committed to funding research with numerous organisations including the Telethon Kids Institute, Institute for Respiratory Health and the Australian Cystic Fibrosis Research Trust (ACFRT) through Cystic Fibrosis Australia.

We are committed to ensuring this vital research can continue.

Please click here to watch a clip of our beautiful ambassador Jackie Fraser speaking passionately about our cause. Jackie has reached end-stage Cystic Fibrosis and wants much better for the children who come after her.

With your help we can Conquer Cystic Fibrosis…

The 2020 Capel Vale Conquer Cystic Fibrosis Grand Ball has been cancelled.

This announcement will come as no surprise in light of the current Covid-19 pandemic, however it breaks our heart to have to make it.

The 2020 Capel Vale Conquer Cystic Fibrosis Grand Ball has been cancelled.

The health of our loved ones with Cystic Fibrosis and the wider community is paramount and wecannot put anyone at risk.

What this means is that at least $200,000 will not be raised for CF research in Australia this year. Everyone at CCF is absolutely devastated by this especially given how desperately it is needed.

Our Committee will be considering alternatives to try to raise these research funds, without holding a Ball. For example, we may still hold our online silent auction with the generous donations we have already received this year.

We are a team of passionate volunteers committed to extending the lives of the 3400 Australians living with Cystic Fibrosis through research. This will continue but there is no doubt we will take a big hit this year.

If you were planning to attend or support our grand ball in any way, we would love it if you could consider making a donation that will help ensure we can continue to meet some of our ongoing commitments to researchers.

Please stay safe and please take precautions in coming days, weeks and months to protect our most vulnerable.

We need to take care of each other through social distancing and hand hygiene to survive 2020 together.

It is a great opportunity to meet new people and have a great night out.  You never know – you may even win the big cash prize!

These events are only possible because of the generosity of our amazing volunteers Peter and Lisa Manwaring, who have no family connection to CF, and have been supporting our charity for the last 6 years. We thank them from the bottom of our hearts.
